Cuban Sandwiches are HUGE here in Tampa. Most of the country has probably never even heard of them. It’s a mighty fine sandwich with roast Cuban pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo and mustard on Cuban Bread, then the bread is brushed with butter and the sandwich is pressed thin. IT.IS.AMAZING
Johnsonville has a new “burger” line out. When I saw the Chorizo flavor, I instantly thought of making a Cuban Burger.

They have other flavors as well, Bratwurst Patties,Italian Sausage Patties and Cheddar Bratwurst. They are also super convenient because you can make one or all 6, it’s up to you.
Oh, and if you think you can make a winning burger with one of the new patties, you could win $10,000 in the “Johnsonville No Ordinary Burger Contest”. Hurry, you have until July 3rd to enter.

I love Cuban sandwiches and have been craving one for way too long. This looks even better!
Funny husband story–my husband cannot abide mustard or pickles. He was away in Miami at a medical conference and called me while he was having a cocktail at a restaurant and waiting for his food to arrive. I asked him what he’d ordered, and he said, “Something the waiter recommended…I think it’s called a ‘Cubano?'”
*Cue evil laugh…”
I loooove Cuban sandwiches. One of my favorite restaurants in DC has a good one, despite the fact that they’re actually a Peruvian restaurant haha. This burger looks delicious!
