Sup? Well, my adorable little niece did it again this year.
In her cute little voice on the telephone..
“Aunt Leslie, this is Sarah, would you like to buy some Girl Scout Cookies?”
Me- Place phone on mute….in my most annoyed voice..”$$%*&(*&&&&, (**%^%$^&^&(,FAT,^*((*&%%####,cellulite,%%$$%*** ”
Me- un-mute phone, “Well, yes Sarah, you know I will buy some Girl Scout Cookies from you.”
How can one say no? I mean, we all know I have no will power.
So I sit here with 2 boxes of Samoas, 2 boxes of Thin Mints(now in the freezer) and 2 boxes of Trefoils. I can’t have that kind of stuff laying around the house. There is a reason I don’t buy cookies at the store…plain and simple. I. WILL. EAT. THEM!
Remember this video from my last Girl Scout Cookie Rant?
Samoas are my weakness. So I had to come up with a remedy to get rid of them. If I knew I had a box, I would gooble them right up.
I knew I had to put them in something. I had a big ol box of Rice Krispies in the pantry.
The Samoas found a new home….chopped up in the Rice Krispie Treats.

OH YES I DID!

Makes about 24 squares
Oh wow! These look super tasty!
Great idea! YUM!
My problem is that then I would sit and eat the whole batch of these – they look amazing!!
You know, I’ve *never* made Rice Krispie treats. Shame, shame, shame. These look great!
Samoas are my weakness too. Such a great idea!
LOL!
Good idea.
I won’t buy those damn things. Those are pure CRACK
Isn’t it funny that we make something more indulgent by adding other goodies to them so we won’t eat as many? I do the same thing. If I have a bag of chocolate candy, I’ll eat it. If I add them to a cookie or brownie or something, I do much better.
Rice Krispies Treats are one of my favorite things to play around with adding yummy things to. Funny, within a minute of checking my computer, I saw 3 different Rice Krispies recipes. This one, Butterfinger ones, and Reese’s PB Cups. YUM!
Samoa Rice Krispie Treats? Are you kidding me? This is the most amazing use of my favorite girl scout cookies, yet. Love this recipe!
What a crack-up- have you seen my post for today??? Too funny.
I managed to avoid the doorbell ringing Girl Scouts this year, but they attacked me at the grocery store the other day and I came home with one box of Thin Mints. Gave it to my husband and didn’t touch a SINGLE ONE! Willpower, I tell you!!
Girl Scout cookie are so bad, but so good! 😉 Samoas are definitely my favorite, and weakness. I don’t think throwing them into Rice Krispie treats would help my will power at all – I’d just eat the whole batch!
This looks totally delicious..

Great idea; the only problem is that I would then eat all the rice crispy squares!
I’ve been on a rice krispies treat kick recently and these look amazing!!
Those are the ones I like too…havn’t given in yet this year. these do look wonderful.
So creative 😀 Amazing..
I could eat boxes of those cookies lol
You are too funny. Luckily none of my cute little nieces sale girl scout cookies, so I don’t have to get suckered into buying them. I do like the idea of freezing them though! Great idea with the rice krispies.
Hmmm samoas are my favorite. I have not been one to ever say no to a rice krispy treat. So what you are doing now is adding more calories to the two boxes of samoas I have in the freezer. Next time why don’t you just paint some cellulite on the backs of my legs. LOL love this recipe. YUM!!
You put two of my favorites together. Brilliant idea.
I am busting up over here. I just got done watching your video on the Girl scout cookies. I am laughing because every time I go to the grocery store I run (literally run) into the store so I don’t have to see them. I can’t say no to them, they are so cute. It’s funny to see a grown woman run from girl scouts.
By the way I printed out the recipe for the Samoa Rice Krispies can’t wait to make them. Samoas are so stinkin good.
I literally ate 3 boxes of them on my way home from the grocery store!!!!
Ahhhh – my Girl Scout Cookies have yet to come in, but trust me, I’m already thinking of ways to get rid of them!
SUPER genius!
grrr..samoas were always my favorite, too. toasted coconut and chocolate..they are just ASKING for the whole box to be devoured within the hour! this is SUCH a clever way to get rid of them!
Ohhh, how I adore Samoas. I have a box coming my way any day now. I already decided that I’m giving up desserts for Lent, so I’m hoping I’ll have the willpower to not eat them right away!
These look like a delicious way to use them up!
LOVE these! I need to find me some GS cookies!
Hah! Sorry to inform you, but to that Girl Scout, you ARE a ma’am.
If it’s not Girl Scouts, it’s teens raising money for senior trips or the band or you name it. I can barely make it into a grocery store in town without being hit up for something. I feel like a dirty dog if I say no thanks.
I am so making these when I get my cookies. I so do not need those laying around the house 😉
