Favorite Things Thursday

Living in Florida means wearing flip flops or open heeled shoes 99.9% of the year.

When your heels are constantly exposed to the elements they get cracked and dry.
You know what I mean…we have all seen the BAD cases.
Someone in flip flops, with such bad cracks on their heels that the cracks are gross and dirty and they are sooo deep you can almost see their heel bone. You know the ones. Ewwww.

Anytime I see someone like that I want to hand them a tube of Flexitol. (go to the site, I just saw you can request a free sample!!! SCORE) But that probably wouldn’t be very polite, so I don’t. Goodness, I would want someone to help me.

Flexitol

The stuff is seriously AMAZING.

Like I said, I am in Florida and always in flip flops. I don’t want to be one of those people with the nasty dry cracked heels. Please don’t take offense if you have them..there is help!
After I get out of the shower at night, I slather the stuff on my heels and then put some socks on. I can’t sleep with socks on so I take them off right when I get in bed. And then in the morning after the shower, I do the same thing and just remove the socks before I leave the house. Don’t want to be one of those people either! (socks w/ flip flops)

Do it for just 3 days and you will be amazed at the difference in your heels!!!!
I promise!

  1. Thank you for the tip! Can you tell me where I can buy the heel balm? I’ m looking forward to flip flop weather and want to make sure my heels are ready too!

  2. Wish I could be in flip flops 99% of the year!! I’ve got on boots and thick socks right now 🙁

My Grandma always gave me Bag Balm to to use on my dry feet .
Farmer’s use it on the sore teats of dairy cows – that’s how us country girls roll – HA HA!

  3. I am in flip flops a lot also and I hate dry heels. I will try this…thanks for sharing.

  4. When I lived in So CA I hardly even wore shoes. I miss being able to do that! Darn snow boots 😉

  5. I NEED that! I’ve been using something called Skin Food this winter, but I’m always on the lookout for a new product.

  6. Congrats to the winner!
I’m old, go barefoot (I live in Florida too!) all the time and probably NEED to get some of this…although things aren’t as dire as some of your descriptions! 🙂 I’ll look for this at CVS.

  7. i actually really need to look into this stuff, i’m totally guilty of the dry heel. how nice to get to wear sandals all the time. i usually just rotate between thick socks to thicker socks this time of year, lol!

  8. Requested my free sample! 🙂 These dry illinois winters do a number on my skin….my poor heels are no exception!

  9. Living in cold, dry northern New York all my life I know what dry feet are all about too! Kohls have these awesome little fuzzy socks that are moisture retaining socks – and you put that lotion on your feet at night then put the socks on, and it tremendously helps. I’ve not seen this lotion out there but now I’ll be looking! Does it get cold enough down there to wear socks to bed? lol. I never go to bed without them on and have been known to even put a hooded sweatshirt on and pull the hood over my head. ha ha.
