I thought I would start a new weekly post here on The Hungry Housewife, “Favorite Things Thursday.” I will try to do it every week ..but no promises. If I can’t find something I am totally and undeniably in love with…I won’t post anything.
I am going to share with you some of my favorite things..things I just love. Some may be food related, some may be house related or some might just be an off the wall something.
I will not be compensated by any of these companies..I am sure 100 % of them don’t even know I exist.
We are all voyers in some way I believe. Not in a freaky way or anything. But I think people enjoy seeing what other people use or love…I know I do.

Soooo My first installment of Favorite Things Thursday is SKIN ID by Neutrogena!
If you follow me on Facebook (which you totally should), I reached out to everyone on any remedies anyone might have for acne.
For the last couple of years I have been having some SERIOUS “adult acne” issues. It’s gross, I know. If you would run your hand across my forehead it was ZIt City. Like I was 16 years old or something. I had zit all through the month, not just when Aunt Flo visited. It was crazy. I was getting to the point to where I was embarrassed to go out. Makeup just made them look worse.
So I researched and researched. There are some really expensive options like Obaji, but honestly I couldn’t justify spending the money. I went to the Dermatologist and tried their magic potions and even took some antibiotics. Still noting. Pizza face was in full force.
Then the Skin id ad came on. $39.00 for two months. Yeah, much more manageable.
Would it work?…I mean it is an “as seen on TV” type of product.
You go to their website and take a 20 question quiz about your face and routine. Then they tell you your “numbers”..which products they recommend for you.
It took about a week to get.
I started using it immediately, 2 x’s a day.
Cleanse
Tone
Acne Treatment
I swear to you, within one week my face was already much much clearer.
By week two, I had some drying on my eyelids and around my lips and some slight itchiness( I have sensitive skin). That was gone within just a few days.
So bottom line, I highly recommend this product if you are having acne issue.
Love love love it!
***Remember Favorite Things Thursday are NOT sponsored posts. Just stuff I love***
I remember going thru this stage when my kids were young as well. I’m glad you found something that helps.

So excited for this feature 🙂
It makes me happy that this is not a sponsored post and just something you really like. I’m getting tired of all the sponsored posts that many of my favorite blogs have gone to. Thanks for keeping it pure.
Great find! I am always looking out for good skincare products.
I can’t wait to hear about your favorite things – I’m nosy like that 🙂
Luckily, I don’t have acne, but I would love to know how to get rid of these #$%@ wrinkles that keep appearing! Happy Friday Les!
Ugh, welcome to my life! I got lucky and never broke out as a teenager, but when I hit 25, bam! My skin decided to hate me! Looking forward to more favorite things 🙂
I feel for you, sometimes it’s just like being a teenager all over again.
You’d think that at a certain age we will have outgrown zits.
Loving your ‘Favorite Things Thursday’ idea, major YAY for you!!
Have a great weekend Leslie!
I love pampering my skin with these kind of products too!
I’ve filed this for later “need to know” use. This type of blog feature is a great idea. I hope you have a wonderful day. Blessings…Mary
I’ll have to check it out. I like the idea of your Favorite Things Thursday.
Okay, I totally don’t do the toning step. Thanks for the reminder 🙂
