Holding icecream…thats what they are good for!
I saw this cute little idea in Womans Day. My kids were in the pool while I was flipping through the pages of Woman Day and saw these. I thought to myself..hmm, I know I have 50 million of those 100 Calorie Packs in the house(good for the kids on the road or in the mall)..and I know I have ice cream! It took 2 seconds to put them together. I dont feel the need to write down the recipe..truly because there isnt one. Just get one of your favorite snack packs out, get your favorite ice cream out..scoop and assemble. Its as easy as that kids! No cooking skills required!
Well that’s very smart of you! I think those 100 calorie packs are such a scam! (Not to mention that they only make me hungrier! Plus I fall into this trap: “Well if one pack is only 100 calories, then why not have 2? Or 3?”) Dangerous! However, I can see how they would be beneficial to have on hand with kids. The addition of ice cream ALMOST makes them palatable to me:)
That is brilliant.
They are good for something, else, too: Cookies and Cream Milkshakes. Make your standard vanilla milkshake and toss in a package of 100 calorie oreo crisps. It’s actually better than using regular oreos. Ditto the chocolate chip crisps — makes a Cookie Dough Shake. 🙂
Holy crap!
I’m hosting my book club in June and am making mini burgers & mini hot dogs. This will be the perfect dessert!
This is a great idea for those of us who like the “mini” foods!
That is a great idea – I am all for saving some calories so I can drink more wine!!
Cheers
