DOHHHHHH!
Did you ever see a recipe somewhere and think,”Well , duh..why didn’t I think of that”?
Yep, that is this recipe. My friend Lori over at Recipe Girl posted it and I just slapped my forehead.
I usually only post my original recipes here on my site, but I just had to make and share this one!
No making caramel! You see, I have a love hate relationship with making caramel. I ALWAYS burn my first batch….always..without fail. So the fact that I don’t have to make my own caramel makes this recipe 5 star in my book!
It starts with some glorious Dove Chocolate caramel candies.
Spread half your batter ( not a family size box) into a 9 x 9 pan.
Arrange the unwrapped Dove Chocolates over the batter (look away OCD friends, the Doves are not all facing the same way)
Add the remaining batter onto.
Evenly spread
Bake and enjoy
Easy huh?
Box mix, mixed to package directions.
Dove chocolate
Pour half into 9 x 9 pan.
Place Doves on batter.
Por the remaining batter
Bake!!!
For the original printable recipe..head on over to Lori
Oh and if you plan on using a family size brownie mix in a 9 x 13 pan, just use two packages of Dove candies.
Gotta love an easy recipe, especially a sweet one like that – yum!
I have a love/hate relationship with making caramel too! But I think I’d have a love love relationship with these brownies! Leave it to Recipe Girl to come up with something like this! And your recreation looks absolutely amazing!
Need! Want now!
Holy crap. I need these in my life STAT. Counting calories will have to wait.
I’ve done this with peppermint patties and chocolate chips but don’t know why I haven’t experimented with different chocolate candies!
I cannot believed you pointed out that all the candies were not facing the same way. What do I do now? I’ll have to use your picture as an example. ;^D BTW, Dove candies ROCK. Love the dark chocolate especially–in the purple wrappers.
Oh my those look delish!
Oh how I love Dove chocolates! These look so ooey gooey and yummy!
This sounds amazing and oh so easy! What a great way to spruce up a boxed mix!
Definitely a great brownie–I’ve done the same thing before. Now I want to do it again. 😉

I made these last night for a family get-together, and lord have mercy! They were probably the best brownies I have ever eaten. Folks, they’re just as incredible as you imagine they might be! 🙂 I used a Ghirardelli brownie mix.
I’m sooo glad they were a hit.
I want this now, yum, why didn’t I think of caramels?! I’ve done the same thing with a Ghiradelli mix and 2 of the King Size Symphony Toffee Almond Candy Bars. Hide them or you’ll eat 1/2 the pan at once!
