LOOK DEEP INTO MY EYES…LOOK DEEP INTO MY EYES
DEEPER
DEEPER
DEEPER.
Ok, enough of that. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.
I just wanted to show you a cute little cake I made for my son who turned 7. He wanted a Super Mario Cake..But I pushed for Sponge Bob(even though we don’t watch it) cake because I knew it would be easy to make. And it was. This was the easiest cake I have made so far. It only took about 2 1/2 hours to do. Much less than the 10 hours it took me to make this cake!

Awesome, awesome, Leslie. I just watched a FN Challenge all about SpongeBob. You'da given them a run for their money!
Hey, loved the brussel spouts, posted them on my blog and linked you. Also linked your wonderful sugar cookie decor in the post before that one. You just rock. That's all. 😉
What an amazing cake. I could never make anything this elaborate. Great job, Sponge Bob would be proud!

my daughter loves spongebob! This cake looks cute!
Happy birthday to your little one..well, not so little anymore as you say. You did a beautiful job on this and any sponge bob fan (we have a couple here in our house) would LOVE this cake.
This is SO bad ass!! Nice work! =)
Awesome cake. Nice fondant work!
good job! it looks fantastic.
I was hoping you could answer an existential question that's been bothering me: Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
Sorry couldn't resist. Amazing job you did. I bet he was thrilled.
um, you are pretty much amazing. Way to go!
Very nice job, Leslie! Btw, that's funny that you convinced your son to go with spongebob instead of mario.
Hope you had a wonderful and delicious Easter!

Wow, great job Leslie! What a nice mom you are : ) I agree, Sponge Bob would be SO much easier than Super Mario Brothers.
Are you rich and famous from all this yet? My good golly heavens sakes alive (I am doing penance for my Easter cartoon that I posted), but you are really good at this. When you hit the big time, make sure you put in a big plug for your very amazing single friend here in California okay? This is adorable. My kids grew up on Sesame Street. I love Sponge Bob, the humor kills me. I hope Easter was lovely for you and your family. And a big happy birthday to your son.
he's perfect, leslie. i've NEVER seen an episode or even a second of the show, but i know he's wacky to look at and an ideal design for a kiddie cake…if you can pull it off. which you clearly can. 🙂
Adorable!!!! And happy birthday to your son! 🙂 Holy Moly he is getting too old tooo fast! How is it that you are not aging a day! ha
Again a gorgeous cake!!!!!!
XOXOXO

Oh wow, it's SOO adorable!! I'm very impressed and can just imagine what a huge hit it was at the party!
That is INSANELY cute Leslie! Great job, you rock! My Aidan is almost 4 and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Spongebob…I need to keep this in mind for his big day!
Wow, awesome job! This is definitely a great idea for a party. And then maybe incorporate the other characters somehow. Keep up the good work!
Oh! My! Gosh! This cake is off the charts adorable!!!
Wow! Great job on the cake! How cute!!!
You have talent! Great job!
OMG that's so AWESOME!!! I lvoe Spongebob and your cake rocks!
You are so TALENTED! We don't watch Sponge Bob either but my kids would be thrilled if I made this cake for them. NICELY DONE!
It freaks me out how much my kids love Sponge Bob – and I don't even let them watch it! Somehow they have gotten a sneak peak and they love him. Anyway, incredible job with the cake! I am so impressed.
So cute! You amaze me, I can not make things perfect like this now matter how I try! I need to fly you over for my kids' birthdays so I don't embarrass myself… again!
This is great! You captured the essence of Sponge Bob!
Cutest cake!!! You are really talented with fondant. I've not gotten up the nerve to try it. Is it hard?
Very cute! You're so talented.
My son would just flip out for a cake like this! He might not even let us eat it. Very nice 🙂
Happy birthday Aiden! Brilliant cake (and well done on cutting your mum some slack and not forcing the Super Mario issue. There is always next year).
Saw your profile on another page. Glad I read your informative and well-writen blog. That Spongebob is amazingly well done. Look forward to following you here. Cheers!
Cripes! I have never worked with fondant before but now you have me thinking I can do this!
Great cake! Just showed it to my 5 year old daughter, who is a huge Sponge Bob fan, and her eyes lit up. I guess I'll be making this come November 🙂
Super super but oh so super cute! You are so talented decoranting cakes Leslie! Did he like it?
it was so cute. I personally liked the icing on the side the best!
Oh that is an adorable cake….My son is 11 and still loves Sponge Bob!!! Great job on the cake!
Another amazing cake! You must share your cake decorating secrets. Huge fan of your blog and recipes! I have even given you an award over at my own cooking blog!

Its so cute! My kids weren't in the Sponge Bob era….they were in the Teenage Mutant Ninja and Power Ranger time….and I did make them a Ninja turtle cake one year – very time consuming!
This is the cutest cake ever!
Adorable! Nicely done!!
Great job! It looks fantastic!
Hi. Happy birthday to your son. I loved your cake! Im going to make a sponge bob cake to my nephew next week, May I ask how you made the convolutions (I hope that is the right word 🙂 ) on the borders?
Thanks a lot…
Kirmizi…I made the cake in a 9 x 13 pan and then cut the cake to the desired shape with a knife. Easy peasy
Thanks for your kind answer!
Oh my gosh, that is so cute! It makes me want to run and buy a box of colored fondant right now.
This is so stinkin' adorable! You did an amazing job on him!!!
